    For your consideration is a fabulous solid black (N4) opal from the top shelf of my personal collection. It features an extremely bright, (4.5/5) non-directional broadflash pattern of blue, green, orange, and a bit of red.  The chunky, medium-dome freeform gem weighs 3.16 carats.   It measures 14 mm long by 9mm wide by 4.5 mm deep.  No cracks, crazing, or pits face-up.  There is a small clay spot on one side which can easily   be covered with a bezel. As always, this is an untreated, ALL-NATURAL gemstone.
