Welcome to my Mermaids under the Sea baby girl rag quilt hand made in my smoke free sewing closet!
I used 2 sweet cotton fabrics with Mermaids swimming under the sea! I combined it with a coordinating cotton in soft hues of pinks, blues and lavender mermaid scales. For the back of the quilt I used a pink, blue & lavender tonal flannel.  This is just a fun and cute quilt for any little girl that loves mermaids and the ocean!
This quilt measures 38" x 45", a nice size for a newborn thru tweener years. All fabrics are 100% cotton  I used a soft lightweight poly/cotton batting in the middle and stitched an X using a serpentine stitch.
The quilt has been laundered once to start the ragging effect and will only become softer with each laundering. Care for rag quilts is so easy.......toss in the washer using your favorite detergent and cold water, then toss in the dryer on a medium heat.
