Current transformer
is used to proportional change of high currents to lower values, adapted to  measuring ranges of control and measuring devices.
Action
The conductor with the measured current passes through the main hole of the transformer (P1 / P2), which is equivalent to one turn of the primary winding. The S1 and S2 terminals of the secondary winding are connected to the terminals of the measuring circuit of the control or measuring device.
The ratio of the intensity of the currents in both windings is a constant value and is called the current ratio: IPn / ISn = N, where IPn - rated primary current; ISn - rated secondary current; N - gear value. The current value can be determined from the value of the current flowing through the secondary winding  flowing through the primary winding: ISm * N = IPm, where ISm - measured primary current; IPm - secondary measured current.
Attention!
It is recommended to connect the secondary circuit with a wire with a diameter of not less than 2.5 mm².
Recommended grounding of S2 terminal.
It is forbidden to disconnect the secondary circuit during the transformer operation (possibility of high voltage resulting in electric shock  people or damage to the device).
