Hayward DV5000/KingRay/DV1000/AquaRay/SunRay Suction Cleaner Hose Adapter (DCX172) is a replacement part that was made by Hayward from the same high-quality materials used to manufacture the original Factory part making this a genuine OEM product.
This Hose Adapter was designed to fit 1.5 in and 2 in threaded skimmers and connects to the Flow Regulator. You want to push the Hose Adapter into the skimmer and then push in your Flow Regulator and then finally, the Hose may be installed that provides the suction needed for the cleaner to operate.
The part itself is White and threaded on its upper and lower side as its meant to adapt to the size of your pool’s skimmer that way all the other attachments can be installed that help the cleaner operate. if you are running the cleaner off a dedicated suction line, then this part will not be required to install.
