The stone is from the 1980's and the mount has been created by one of the most renowned designers in the world, Kat Florence. She designed the mount for this extremely rare beauty with hand styled 18k yellow gold, and .50 carats of Brilliant Cut D-Flawless Diamonds, the only Diamonds that she works with. The Opal is a Lightning Ridge Black Opal, from a very special specific place known as Lunitic Hill, which makes this a very coveted and rare stone that is 6.40 carats, oval in shape. It is 21.30 x 13.20 mm in size, and weighs 13.21 grams. Comes with all paperwork including a hand drawn image of the ring and note written to me by Kat Florence, stating that this ring was the star of her black opal collection.
