Condition: ITEM IN PHOTOS IS THE ITEM YOU WILL RECEIVE! Condition of set is GOOD for its age and comes to you complete with all 36 wax packs. We do NOT suggest you eat the chewing gum inside! Exterior box is in GOOD condition, but not excellent. Expect surface wear, light scratches and/or abrasion damage. Box edges and corners also exhibit wear/abrasions or light damage. Top cut-out flap that is intended to be folded for display suffers the most of this type of damage; perforations at back edge are breached and there is some creasing. Original 15 cent cut-out is still intact. There are no holes on surface. Bottom of box has some wear/marks. Front flap of box top has tearing at edges/ corners. Inside, some packs had been sticking together. We separated all of them to check and noticed a few have loosened back seams where adhesive has failed over time. One pack in particular was wrapped haphazardly and cards could come loose. Some packs exhibit creases or excessive denting on front surface.

line, manufactured in the United States back in 1977. This awesome collection of SEALED wax packs comes to you in its original cardboard display box, with "15 cent" price cut-out still in tact. We believe each pack holds eight cards each, one of which is a sticker, as well as a stick of 40+ year old chewing gum!

The set was based on
Star Wars - Episode IV: A New Hope
, and featured stills from the film, promotional photos and behind the scenes photos, all within a red border. Backs of the cards featured "Actor's Profile" or "Movie Facts" themes, or included a portion of a larger image that could be pieced together with other cards like a puzzle. A sub-set of sticker cards was included.
Card numbering in the set continued from the previous series and features
66 cards (numbered 67-132) and 11 stickers (12-22). Some cards use images from deleted scenes from the film: Card 74 uses an image from the scene featuring Luke Skywalker and Biggs Darklighter on Tatooine, Card 85 is from the deleted scene of Luke repairing a moisture vaporator, Card 101 shows Chewbacca from the deleted, later restored, scene of Jabba the Hutt in Docking Bay 94, and Card 132 uses an image from a deleted scene featuring Darth Vader and Moradmin Bast. Like in the previous card series, lightsabers are referred to as "light sabres."
